First and Final training for State kids..

Our first time state players have just completed their first and only training with their team. First time players Jasmine Bridgman, Nikeisha McNamara, Jenna Daniels, Bianca Clements and Lewis McLauchlan trained extremely hard and now know what it takes to become a state player. They have just begun learning new offensive and defensive plays.

Bianca and Jenna are in the same side, coached by Peter Seebohm from Millicent. Jasmine and Nikeisha are coached by our very own “Showtime” Quinn. Lewis is our sole representative in the Under 14 boy’s team and is coached by Lachlan Griffiths from Eastern Hills.

All five players are extremely excited about going to Albury/Wodonga in January and representing their state. Each player has been training with the local DNSP squad for the past 18 months. Finally all the hard work and endeavour paying off.
They will commence training this week out at the stadium 9 – 11 every day under the guidance of Sean Sheedy and Stephen Patterson.

Other players to begin training this week are Tegan Crocker, who has recently been named captain of her team. Shannon Tarran, Chad Mclean, Jack Vigar, Michael Baker, Rhianna Stringer and Brad Coulson. For each of these players this will be either there 2nd, 3rd and in some cases 5th time to make state.

Training for all state kids will be held 9 - 11 everyday at the stadium commencing 15/12/2009. Sean Sheedy will be conducting these sessions and will be assisted by Stephen Patterson.

Each player is given a shooting chart that must be completed before going away to either Albury-Wodonga or Pt Macquarrie.

A beep test will also be performed, most likely more than once.
