Brad hits Pt Macquarie
Game 1
Young Brad is up at Pt Macquarie, having played his first game against NSW Waratah's and come away with a 9 point win. Brad was in the starting 5 and fitted into his starting role well, becoming instrumental in setting up plays and assisting with keeping the scoreboard turning over. Playing 28 minutes and getting 8 points. The young S.A. Country boys were able to get a win 64 to 56. An excellent start to the tournament.
Game 2
Brad's second game was against Victoria. A tough team and the S.A. Country boys had a loss to them 66 - 42.The boys were gallant in defeat and played exceptionally well and didn't give in.
Scoring accuracy in the end was the major difference, with Victoria getting their shots and S.A. missing theirs. Victoria just had very good shooters in the end. Brad himself was getting plenty of shots away and also scoring well. when not scoring he was getting some much needed assists to his team-mates. Brad continues to get good court time which is showing his worth to the team.
Defence wise the S.A. boys was excellent, but they were unable to stop the Vic's.
Game 3
Game 3 was against QLD South. Brad is continuing to start and what a start this game. Scoring 10 of his 18 points in the first 3 minutes. The fire department was called as he was on fire!!
Brad continued on with the excellent assist work and hard nosed defence. Now stopping good quality players and bringing in more and more of his team-mates. The S.A boys are sitting well on 2 wins and 1 loss, with another game to be played tonight.
Game 4
Well it appears the fire department was too slow in getting to Brad, as NSW Metro found out, lighting them up for 30...Yes 30 points in a stand out and career high. The team smashing NSW by 40 points 76 to 36.
The team now have a record of 3 from 4 heading into the last game against New Zealand. A finish of 4 from 5 will set them up for a good finals campaign and a look at the medals...
Game 5
Water restrictions really did hit Pt Macquarie as brad continued his hot form and was unable to be put out. Playing limited minutes so to even out some court time, Brad decided to light New Zealand up for a lazy 20, as his team went onto a 4 wins from 5 games and crushed the Kiwi's 78 - 36.
The S.A. Country boys will now play in a finals match on the 19th at 17:30 against the NSW's team. This encounter looks to be tight as and an exceptional game.
Finals....
